T.C.U.P.T. (Part 8): Lack of reception

And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

- II Samuel 7:4 (KJV)

During the reign of King David, Nathan was the most prominent prophet within Israel.  The key reason as to why Nathan the prophet was so great at this time because God would send His Word to Him whenever God deemed it necessary.  What was the key to Nathan receiving God's Word so freely when some people go through their entire lives with a lack of reception?

The answer is embedded within his name.  The name Nathan means "a giver."  Too many people want to receive without giving.  Giving prevents lack of reception.  Due to Nathan wholly giving his heart to God, God then sent His Word to Nathan.
