In this verse, the text gives the rest of the lineage of Cain. Starting from the beginning from Cain's perspective, the lineage goes in this generational timeline: Adam, Cain, Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methusael, and Lamech. Lamech is the seventh in the this lineage. In verse 15, God declares in a mystery who would kill Cain because vengeance would be seven times more. Lamech would be the one to murder Cain.
Numerical Breakdown: (4) Stay in God's Word in order to produce. (9) Overturn evil in order to produce. (1) Stay in the anointing in order to produce. (8) Choose to have a new beginning in God in order to produce.
