Numerical Expositions: Genesis 4:14

Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

- Genesis 4:14 (KJV)

Since Cain's occupation is a farmer, he understands the concept of sowing and reaping.  The principle of sowing and reaping is that whatever is put into the ground is what the harvest will be down the road.  As an example, if you sow corn seeds, then you will receive corn a few months later.

In this situation, Cain sowed murder so that he knew that he would be murdered down the road.  Violence begets violence.  This cycle of violence continues to this day.  If you do not want to be murdered, then do not kill anyone.

Numerical Breakdown:  (4) To stay in God's Word, focus on Him.  (5) Stay in God's presence or be driven off of the face of the earth.  (9) To overturn evil, continue to stay in contact with God.  (1) Stay in the anointing or wander through life aimlessly.
