Numerical Expositions: Genesis 4:20

And Adah bare Jabal:  he was the father of such that dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

- Gen. 4:20 (KJV)

Jabal did not want to live in an enclosed place, so he became the first person from the descendants of Cain to live out of the open inside of a tent.  Instead of keeping sheep, Jabal was the first person to herd cattle.  Thus, he created the ancient Bedouin lifestyle.  His existence gives you an idea where the land of Nod was located because the Bedouins were primarily from the area of Saudi Arabia.  We know that Nod was east of Eden.  Therefore, west of Saudi Arabia was the general area of the land of Eden.  What's west of Saudi Arabia?  Israel.  This verse gives you a geographic reason as to why Israel was considered the land promised by God.  Get high off of that.

Numerical Breakdown:  (4) The name Jabal means "mountain."  Walk in God's Word in order to advance to another level.  (2) To follow after God's kingdom, dwell with Him.  (6) To expose evil, use the resources that you have wisely.
