And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The fourth period of time was completed in this verse. The number four represents instruction and correction. On this day, light was shed upon the earth. When you gain instruction, then your mind is enlightened. Continue to gain correction or your mind will become darkened by the corruption of this world. Leave mediocrity behind and continue to grasp knowledge.
