Numerical Expositions: Genesis 1:16

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:  he made the stars also.

-- Gen. 1:16 (KJV)

This verse states that God made the sun, the moon, and the stars.  If there is no God, then there would not be a sun, there would not be a moon, and there would not be stars in the sky.

The sun is designated as the greater light because it completely dispels darkness.  If you want to become greater in life, then dispel more darkness in the world.

Numerical Analysis:  The numerical pattern for this verse is 1,7,8,6.  (1) To stay in the anointing, realize that God created the sun and the moon.  (7) To be complete, understand that light is a direct link to authority.  (8) To have a new beginning in God, realize that light has authority over darkness.  (6) To expose evil, realize that he has made the stars.
